Ryan Mallon is an actor and writer based in New York City. He has studied intensively for eight years at the Atlantic Theater Company and Howard Meyer’s Acting School. After this time he was invited to become a ensemble member of Axial Theatre where he performed many original full length and one act plays including “Senescence” by Howard Meyer (semi-finalist 2015 O’Neill National Playwrights Conference) directed by James Fauvell (member of the 2017 Lincoln Center Directors Lab); “The Rest of Your Life” by Megan Mostyn-Brown, directed by Josh Hecht; “Awake and Sing” by Clifford Odets, directed by Francesco Campari; and “Welcome: This is a Neighborhood Watch Community” by Howard Meyer directed by Drama Desk Award-Winner Josh Hecht and starring LAByrinth founder David Deblinger and Emmy© nominated actor Jon Lindstrom.
He recently performed the lead in a short film titled “Overflow” directed by Jaidan Royal.
Ryan begin writing during Axial’s play development series, studying under then Axial literary manager Tony Howarth, then with Josh Hecht and Brooke Berman. Three of his one-act plays were produced by the company including: “I Wanna Go Home,” “The Woes of the Unwittingly,” “The Tunnel” performed by Robert Kya-Hill, and “Jump” directed by Francesco Campari.
